1st attempt of pancake making Labels: cooking
ingredient:
3 cups of flour
7 teaspoon of baking powder/ soda powder/ 3 teaspoon of double acting baking powder
1.5 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon sugar
3 cups of milk (sl warm)
2 eggs (room temperature)
8 tablespoons of melted butter
steps:
sift dry ingredient and mix well
seperate egg tolk and white.
mix yolk with the rest of wet ingredient
beat egg white till stiff peak form
mix dry and wet ingredient well (lump in the batter is normal)
lastly gently fold in the beaten whites into bate and cook pancake immediately
or
mix all ingredient (lastly:egg white)
keep in fridge overnight if using double acting baking powder (let the bubble form to make pancake more fluffy) and avoid stirring as it will 'flatten' the bubbles
or
for Tiny Bubbles
Another technique replaces some or all of the liquid with a carbonated beverage to make pancakes very light and tender.
Use plain or flavored seltzer water, beer, cider, ginger ale--
Wait to add the carbonation until just before pouring the pancake batter on the griddle.
* Extra Bits
Sprinkle chocolate chips, granola or bits of fruit over the batter after ladled it onto pan. This evenly distributes the tidbits and makes it less likely that they will stick to the pan and burn.
*keeping it:
arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet and place them, uncovered, in a warm oven. Never stack or cover them--the steam will make them soggy.
tommorrow, i am going to cook those pancake.
hopefully everything will end up well..
keeping my finger crosssed!!
toppings:
butter/syrup/jam/honey/nut butter/fresh fruits
tried a brownie recipe earlier but jason din like it
it is too cakey
mayb i shouldn't use that recipe cos he wanted something fudgy
but it did taste better after refridgerating and microwaving
mayb the vanilla ice cream is not good enuv..
but i will still try another brownie recipe
without adding peanut butter
only fresh walnut or peacan nut
no choc chip either...
too sweet
it is not an easy task to deal with
expecially now,
with one extra person to feed
but with the same amt of salary
will have to plan and plan and plan...
luckily my husband is willing to work extra hard to provide for us..
think there will b a bumpy road ahead of us..
but we will definitely survive!!

i visited him in his house today Labels: thought
he is cute and mischievious
so lovely
eventhough with major hearing loss,
he can be so adorable and loveable
he is on the list for a cochlear implant hopefully this year
he have been thru alot
so much that he doesn't know how to express himself
when knocking himself onto the door,
instead of crying like any other baby,
he smiled....
but he is in pain
mayb his way of smilling is different
smile a = pain
smila b = happiness
well, i can't differentiate,
nor his parents
but looking at him now
surviving all the hardship in life at such a young age
it is a blessing after all seeing him eating thru his mouth
rather than thru a tube to his stomach
or worse still when he hav to hav drips to keep him alive at some point of his life
his family, after all the battles and torturing
now at least, he is quite settled
they are quite settled as a family
having his father to ean for living
his mother taking care of him all the time
their coping mechanism is excellent
they hav very good support from his extended family also
something that teaches me
no matter wat happen in your life
there is a way to life out to the fullest of it
i went for a talk last min today
i was told that the seats have already been fully taken
but somehow, after my work,
i decided to try my luck
who knows there might be absentees?
i went to the auditorium & true enough,
there are still places available
it seems that depression during and after pregnancy is quite common
the most imp thing is to recognise it early
in some point of time, i thought i have this problem
although not that intense as shared by the speakers today
but i believe, hormonal, physical, physiology changes contributed a lot to this prob
some people even need medicine to control their emotions
some can do with only therapy and support groups
for people out there who r depressed...
remember,
U R NOT alone.....
