well,i do not know how to name it but it is the mock day for the jci audit which was conducted by our own hospital auditors to come over to our ward to audit us.. (not the real 4th to 8th day )
but it was still stressful as our nursing manger starts making noise about everything in the ward early early in the morning
why the medicine trolley not locked?
why the fridge temperature was not charted?
why there were still specimen in the fridge?
why this form is not properly filled up?
where in the signature of the person?
who is the last person who used the treatment room and not cleaned it??
there were so many last minute touch up to do
do not know what to do 1st as everything is so important!!
tried to arrange everything and cleaned everything before our manager blow her head off..
so stressful!!! i started to have butterflies in my tummy.....
on top of that,we still have to update doctors changes, shower babies, take parameters, serve medication and etc (our daily tasks)
such a market place to be in!!!
that was only in the morning, before the auditors come...
can't really imagine how would it be when i actually face the auditors in the afternoon...
i did not have to wait for long,
@
1530
they were in my ward (head of departments, nursing directors, nurse clinicians, CEO, COO, snr consultant &....) all the upper management people......
our nursing manager choosed 3 of us to *greet the auditors.
*to be the frontline people who answer all the questions shot by the auditors.
part one: (the question and answer session) they asked about everything, from job descriptions to departmental plans to fire safety to policies to......
then, they split up.... (to check on us, audit on our practical, scrutinize on our documentation and listen to our case study)
ooppss...
it means that 3 of us can't be side by side supporting each other anymore as in the questions and answer session earlier, my nursing manager was away as well with another auditors
i feel like vomiting, too nervous i guess but i know i can't run away, so
me and another staff nurse have to present a medical case to the auditors in another room with a doctors..
walking towards the room make me feel that it is my death sentences..
sat down on a square table, facing 3 auditors
they asks, we answered..
it seems like at the end of the days, it is not that bad after all!!
our nursing manager was pround of us cos according to her, we answered all the questions very well.
we're relieved!!!
